Few people avoid bitter gourd due to bitter taste. Here is a tip how to reduce the bitterness. Burn the bitter gourd and you will find the bitterness is reduced. Remove the seeds to make it mild. Then you chop the karela and you will feel the difference.

Ingredients
- 2 Bitter Gourd (karela)
- 2 to Tomato
- 1 tbsp Ginger (chopped)
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed
- 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 2 Whole Red Chilli
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)

Instructions
- Burn bitter gourd and tomato. After then wash the bitter gourd then chop and remove the seeds if they are matured. So the bitterness will reduce.
- Peel off the burnt tomato skins then chop. Now heat mustard oil add whole red chilli, cumin seeds and chopped ginger. Stir for a minute.
- Add chopped karela, turmeric powder and salt. Sprinkle little water and cook until soft.
- Now add coriander powder chilli powder and burnt tomato. Stir and again cook for a few minutes.
- Now ready to serve with steamed rice or any other combination.
