Instructions
 

Making the Syrup

  • Add water, sugar, cardamom in a pan.
  • Add water, sugar, cardamom and saffron in a sauce pan
  • Bring to boil and cook you get a syrup consistency.

Making the Jamuns

  • Take the milk powder, flour, soda in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the ghee and mix well.
  • Add the curd 1 tsp at a time and mix well.
  • Keep on adding little by little of the yogurt to get a soft sticky mixture.
  • Make smooth small balls from the dough.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan. When the oil is hot switch off the flame.
  • Wait for a min and then add the balls and stir well.
  • After a min or two switch on the flame and fry them in low-medium heat stirring often to get even color and till golden.
  • Add the fried jamuns into the sugar syrup.
  • Let them soak in the sugar syrup for atleast 1 hour. Serve warm
