About Mcdonalds Veg Burgers

We all love McDonalds Goodies..But the same old question of eating junk food regularly had me trying to replicate the ever-popular Veg Burger at home using healthier options and cutting down on guilt factor, Hygiene and freshness quotient as opposed to getting the Frozen McCains Burger Patty , replacing it with home one. Nailing this one had its own satisfaction.

Instructions
 

  • Take ¼ cup water,milk & sugar . Heat to lukewarm. Add yeast. Keep undisturbed for 15 minutes. it will bloom.
  • Take whole wheat flour , salt in a big plate. Add The yeast, rest of milk + water and oil. Knead for 15 minutes.
  • Keep in an oiled bowl with lid on till it doubles. Punch it down and roll to make balls. Keep for raising for 30 minutes.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 15 minutes. Lastly apply melted butter on the done buns.
  • McCain Burger Patty steps- Grate the potatoes. Soak the poha in water for 2 minutes. Strain and let dry for 5 minutes. Cut French Beans into small pieces and add to the potatoes.
  • Add boiled peas, Cabbage, carrot and all seasonings. Squeeze out the water from the poha and add to the mixture.
  • Mix All gently. Make patties and keep in fridge for about 30 minutes.
  • Bread Crumbs Recipe- Toast 4-5 brown bread slices in toaster till very crisp. Grind in mixer and use.
  • To make the Patty- Dip each patty in the maida batter. Remove excess gently. Dip in the bread crumbs. Deep fry in hot oil on low flame till golden brown color and crisp
  • Assemble the Burger- Take Home made or ready burger buns. Slice horizontal in two. Apply mayonnaise, tomato sauce, green chutney on each slice.
  • Stuff with lettuce leaf, tomato slice, cucumber , cheese slice and the patty. Insert a moist toothpick from the top centre to hold everything together.
  • Warm in otg for 4-5 minutes at 250 degrees with both rods on. No need to preheat the oven.
