Mushroom are rich in low calorie source of protein, fibre and antioxidants. Mushrooms have wide range of bioactive compounds including cancer fighting properties and cholesterol lowering effects. We can consume mushrooms in different ways. Here I cooked with whole masoor dal. We have to soak the whole masoor for 4-6 hours then it will easy to cook.

Ingredients
- 4 - 5 Mushrooms (medium size)
- 1 cup Masoor (whole)
- 1 Onion (medium sized)
- 1 tbsp Garlic (chopped)
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Tomato (chopped)
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 1 tbsp Desi Ghee (homemade)
- Green Chillies
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)

Instructions
- Soak the whole masoor dal for 4 - 6 hours then boil.
- Wash and chop the mushrooms then keep aside.
- Take a pan heat oil add chopped garlic and chopped onion stir for a minute. Add chopped mushrooms, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder and chopped tomato. Again stir fry for a minute.
- Add boiled masoor dal and cook for a few minute. Then add slitted green chillies, salt, garam masala and homemade ghee. Now see how it is done.
- It can be served with steamed rice and chapati.
