Soft Homemade White Sandwich Bread
About Soft Homemade White Sandwich Bread
A homemade white sandwich bread in breakfast is the best way to start your day. Well, this is at least true for me and my son. He loves to have Nutella spread sandwiches in his tiffin packed with homemade white sandwich bread. Yesterday my son, Garv demanded to carry mayonnaise sandwiches in his tiffin for the next day. I checked for the reason, he explained that his school gang has decided a party next day where everyone is supposed to bring something from their homes. Garv had already promised to bring yummy sandwiches to all his friends. My Walnut Brownie and Domino's Garlic Bread is already a big hit among his friends and he wanted to treat his friends with a new delicacy. I checked and found that I didn't have white sandwich bread ready with me. Because I was not too well, I thought to convince him to carry something else other than sandwiches, but I could not stop a mother in me. Making an easy homemade white sandwich bread, I took medicine and went straight to my kitchen. Collected all the required ingredients and started making my homemade white sandwich bread. I must say, this is such a hassle-free and easy to go recipe. You just need few basic ingredients and in less than two hours, your delicious, soft, chemical and preservative free white sandwich bread will be ready. Same happened with me too. I was so happy to see my tall, dark and shiny bread loaf. Along with the sandwiches, I secretly prepared whole wheat muffins for his friends. Today morning when Garv saw sandwiches and muffins ready and packed for his friends, the smile on his face was worth making the effort. Nothing can give more peace to a mother's heart than knowing that her child will be eating something healthy with his friends.

- Take the dough out on dusted surface. Add oil to the dough and gently fold the dough. Knead the dough again for about 10-15 minutes.

- After 40 minutes the dough volume will double. Remove the cling wrap and punch the dough to release the air.
- Knead the dough again for about 5 minutes. Keep the dough on a dusted surface for rolling. Take a loaf tin and place parchment paper in it or grease the tin with butter/oil. Spread the dough and start rolling the dough. Shape it into a loaf.
- Place the dough in the tin and give it a milk wash to provide moisture to the loaf. Take a cling wrap and grease it with oil and cover the loaf tin with the cling wrap. Keep the dough for second rise for about 40 minutes.
- After 40 minutes the dough will again double in volume.
- Remove the cling wrap from the loaf tin and again give it a milk wash. Meantime preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius. Bake the loaf for about 35 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.
