About Sweet Corn Pizza Wheat Dalia
Call this fusion meal an Indo – Italian meal or simply a fusion meal, it is just awesome with the goodness of sweet corn and wheat dalia. Indian wheat dalia is given an Italian makeover in this meal. It is definitely a treat for pizza lovers and kids for sure. No baking or kneading, you can just replicate the similar aroma and taste using our healthy whole wheat dalia.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Wheat Dalia (broken wheat whole)
- 4 to 4 cup Water (adjust according to the quality of dalia)
- 3 to Tomato (medium sized)
- 2 cup Tomato (or water, or cooking water for cooking)
- 1/2 tbsp Garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 to 2 Green Chillies (es, chopped or slit)
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp Pizza Seasoning
- tsp Chilli flakes (â¾)
- 1 tbsp Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 cup Sweet Corn
- 1/4 cup Onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup Tomato (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup Capsicum (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese (grated)
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions
- Boil water, add tomatoes and cook until the skin starts to split.
- Remove the cooked tomatoes from the pot.
- Allow the tomatoes to cool down completely, remove the skin and blend to a puree without adding water.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a deep pan / kadai and roast the dalia until you get a nice aroma and color changes slightly.
- Transfer the roasted dalia into a bowl.
- In the same pan, add remaining olive oil and once the oil is hot enough, add chopped garlic.
- Sauté for few seconds; add green chilli followed by tomato puree.
- Once the puree starts boiling mix sweet corn.
- Add red chilli powder and salt followed by water.
- Bring it to one boil, lower the flame and mix the roasted dalia.
- Close the lid of the pan.
- When the dalia is half cooked, add tomato sauce, red chilli flakes, pizza seasoning and mix.
- Check for salt and spices and adjust at this stage if required.
- Close the lid and allow the dalia to cook until it is 3/4th done.
- By now most of the water would have been absorbed. Turn off the flame.
- Open the lid of the pan / kadai, spread the onion slices followed by tomato and capsicum slices.
- Spread the cheese.
- Dum Cooking on low flame: a) Heat a dosa griddle / tawa, simmer the flame and place the pan / kadai on the hot dosa griddle. b) Close the lid and place some weight or a cup filled with water on the lid so that the steam does not escape.
- Allow it to cook for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Turn off the stove.
- Sprinkle extra pizza seasoning if required and serve immediately.
Recipe Notes
- Cooking time of the dalia may vary depending upon the variety and size. I used 24 mantra whole wheat dalia and have indicated the timings according to this brand of dalia.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- 1 cup measurement I used is 200 ml measuring cup
- Be careful when using water as one variety of wheat dalia may absorb more water and another may absorb less.
